Director of Development

Charlottesville Catholic School in Charlottesville, Virginia, seeks a Development Director for the 2023-2024 school year and beyond. The Charlottesville Catholic School Director of Development is responsible for overseeing the school’s comprehensive fundraising efforts. Charlottesville Catholic School seeks an exceptional relationship builder who will passionately convey the mission and values of the school to individuals and partner organizations in an effort to expand the philanthropic footprint of the only Catholic School in a 100 mile radius of Charlottesville, Virginia. As an authentic storyteller, the successful candidate will lead school administrators, the volunteer board, and community partners in a comprehensive fundraising effort that includes annual and event-oriented fundraising, major gift fundraising, foundation support, and planned giving.

Under the direct supervision of the school principal, the Director of Development is responsible for:

  • Implementing a comprehensive annual giving program;
  • Increasing the amount and quantity of significant gifts from both individuals and private
    foundations;
  • Implementing a strategy for philanthropic endowment growth;
  • Engaging grandparent and alumni communities, both qualitatively and financially;
  • Implementing and managing effective fundraising events and functions;
  • Expanding Charlottesville Catholic School’s targeted donor circles;
  • Preparing reports for and serving as a liaison representative to the School Advisory Board
    and Finance Committee.

Aftercare Assistant

Charlottesville Catholic School is seeking a part-time Aftercare assistant. This person should have experience working with kids ages 4-13 and be available from 3:30-5:30 Monday through Friday. School Counselor

Charlottesville Catholic School in Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking a JK-8 school counselor for the 2022-2023 school year.  The successful candidate has experience in developing, implementing and managing school guidance programs, as well as working with students in individual, small group and classroom settings.

Middle School Language Arts

Charlottesville Catholic School in Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking a middle school language arts teacher (6-8) for the 2022-2023 school year, with a current VA state Teaching License. The successful candidate must instruct through engaged, hands-on teaching and learning, utilize 21st Century teaching skills, possess good communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with an instructional team. Practicing Catholics preferred.
