WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO BECOME A NURSE?

I knew I wanted to be a nurse after I travelled to Southern Africa and Southeast Asia when I was 18. I came home knowing I wanted to help others and make a difference in their lives. When I finished nursing school, I went to Uganda to volunteer at a pediatric clinic and an orphanage. It was a life-changing experience and I knew I was in the right profession. We were able to build a home for the children and get them set up with basic healthcare needs.
Upon returning, I have worked for over 10 years, in the Emergency Department and Recovery Room. I am so excited to be working in the school now and I am so excited for this new adventure!

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO WORK AT CHARLOTTESVILLE CATHOLIC SCHOOL?

Such a wonderful, nurturing, caring, loving school… why wouldn’t I want to work here and be a part of this great time!

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR INTERESTS, HOBBIES, OR PASSIONS?

Being with my husband and 2 sons. We love to travel and go on adventures, try new things, see new places, and taste new food. We love to be in great outdoors: biking, hiking, running… whatever/wherever it may be.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE MOMENTS WITH A STUDENT OR AT THE SCHOOL?

My favorite moments with students are seeing them realize they will get through whatever difficult situation they are faced with and come out on top.
